MEET THE FOUNDERS

Founder Anglin was born in Bartow, Florida and currently resides in Hampton, Ga with her two children (Ronald/Jordan) and one fur baby Queen. She joined the Army at the age of 18 as a 92y, Unit Supply Specialist and medically retired after serving 15 yrs as a 25E Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager. Founder Anglin enjoys spending her time helping personnel who have experienced trauma in their lives. She enjoys sharing her life experiences and helping individuals focus on meditation and artists activities. advice on how to meditate in different ways that fits their lifestyles. She loves to spend time with her family and friends painting and doing artistic projects when she isn’t working or doing school work. Founder Anglin is a firm believer that respect is earned not given. As a founder of Alpha Mu Beta Military Sorority Inc. she envisioned an organization that can help women veteran express themselves professionally without being looked at sideways being judged by no member.

Founder Kirkland served honorably on active duty for 10 years in the United States Army as a Mechanic. She is very goal oriented and aims for the sky. She is very passionate about empowering individuals to adapt and overcome to be stronger than ever. She encourages women to embrace themselves and learn to live with their imperfections. She enjoys helping those in need and tries her best to help anyone that she can, whether she’s a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. As a founder of Alpha Mu Beta Military Sorority Inc. She envisioned an organization that would show individuals that even though we are coming from different walks of life we can work together to encourage, empower, and support each other in a positive way. She believes that we are all perfectly imperfect.

Founder Walker joined the Army Reserves at the age of 17 as a 71G, Patient Admin Specialist and stayed a Reservist for 6.5 years. She joined the Active Army as a 63B, Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic and retired after serving 20 yrs. She is a proud mother of 3 and a grandmother of 2. Founder Walker is a firm believer of Loyalty and tough love, so be ready for her to tell you how it is with nothing but love. She loves to ride her motorcycle and do community service when she has time from her busy work schedule. As a founder of Alpha Mu Beta Military Sorority Inc. She envisioned an organization that could show individuals how to overcome and walk in their truth with pride and confidence.

Founder Heard served honorably on active duty in the United States Army as an automated logistical specialist. In October of 2020 she decided to hang up her boots and start her retirement life after serving 20 years with 6 combat tours. She loves sports and excels in not only Basketball but track and field, volleyball and also fast pitch softball even bowling. Founder Heard strives to be the best at everything she does and tries to always leave her mark on whatever she touches. No matter what she is going through she always have time to help others and ensures that everyone around her is winning. As a natural born leader she enjoys encouraging and mentoring and sharing her life experiences to help others. As a founder of Alpha Mu Beta Sorority Inc. She envisioned the organization to be a place where any sister can come to and just be there selves.

Founder Brown was raised in a small town, Chambersburg, PA with her parents and younger brother. She played basketball from elementary to jr high school and intended on playing in college but ultimately decided to follow her parents footsteps and join the United States Navy. She has been in for 12 years and is on the road to retirement. She loves being able to explore the world, learn about other cultures and mentor young sailors. She wants others to be able to gain 17 wisdom from her and learn from her career mistakes. Based off of her experiences in life, Founder Brown believes sometimes you have to be selfish to find out who you truly are. “It’s good to be selfish, but not so self-centered that you never listen to other people.”

Founder Dorsey served in the US Army Reserves for 12 years with 3 years of active-duty service as a field medic and a nurse consecutively. She currently serves her community as a nurse, an educator and a published author. She feels strongly about the education of all people. Her personal mantras are: It is what you don’t know, that creates the greatest threat. Silence is the best response to ignorance. She yearns to see the eradication of the parasitic disease known as domestic violence. She aspires for all women to empower, encourage, uplift, and motivate each other as sisters. She is often referred to as the maternal figure and considers herself a lover of people and helping them accomplish their goals. As a founder of Alpha Mu Beta Military Sorority Inc. she desires to serve in any capacity necessary to ensure all women know their worth and embrace the beauty of being called woman. To set an example for the next generation of powerful women to serve, lead and build healthier families and communities.
